DESCRIPTION
The Blue Pirates are Dragons seeking adventure, blood shed, and glory. With little sense of sentimentality or mercy, they kill off their elders once they become too old to be useful, and other members have been known to eat eachother’s hatchlings. The Fleet is held together by friendship, and bonds created over daring situations. These water dragons (and they are all Water Dragons) live mainly on light food like monkeys, fruit, and insects to keep themselves agile. Coveters of treasure, their main source of fun is hunting trade ships and ransacking them, killing off the crew, and then sinking the boats. These cut throat wyrms are in it mainly for the personal gain, and have no problem with being pampered by humans. However, no Varnean could ever love the scarred, snarling face of a Pirate.
RANKS
Leader
Anastas: A truly barbaric dragon, she enjoys the fleet life, the adventure, perhaps more than any of them. A majestic two legged dragon with wing tips that split into two usable fingers and an appendage very much like a thumb (all the better for examining treasure!) many a sailor has died with her snapping, bone white beak as his last memory. Her scales are the blueish green of shallow water against pure sand, her horns and claws white as snow. She wears a diadem of rusted chainmail on her head that runs down her delicate neck and clasps in the front of it, inlaid with gold and lapis lazuli. Her doubloon-gold eyes are clever and cruel, with long spidery lashes rimming them. She has a thick, inflexible tail with a wide golden spade on the end of it, and one of her eyes has been scratched out, leaving flesh that looks like fish meat dry and behind. She does have a soft spot for mothers and hatchlings (even when human), and readily slits the throat of anyone who tries to harm them. She finds men, both human and dragon, to be exhausting, and has little patience for their antics. ((HollyHawk))
Deputy
Tybalt: Large, robust dragon with shiny scales and blue eyes. She possesses a teal body with green hints and highlights. Dominant and leading, often tries to be in charge when not under the eyes of the leader. Strives for leadership one day. Relatively young and naive, also very impulsive. ((WindWing101))
Healer
Thea: ((OPEN))
Hunters
Orange: A sleek silver water dragon with an enormous orange fin as her tail decal. Slim muscles coil around two sets of long elegant legs. Silver wings fold perfectly to her back, long orange membranes hidden until they are outstretched. One long orange fin curves from the top of her short curved snout down her back reaching up to her tail decal, silver bones controlling them to keep her movements fast and efficient underwater. Jagged scars twist their way down one side of her face, another larger one going down her orange underbelly. There are countless others on her body. Orange eyes match the water she spews, as it is a strange orange color. She is able to make that water ice cold, or boiling hot. She was born and raised in the fleet. ((Starkat))
Daubs: ((OPEN))
Fighters
Molde: A jagged scaled dragon with four short, stocky limbs and a muscled body, she’s always been perpetually sick. Her wide clam shell nostrils always drip blackish goo, her ribs always quake with vigorous coughs, and her eyes are always veined in red around the intensely blue irises. Her scales are speckled with black against green and her thick, scarred wings bear markings in smooth, syrupy pinks and blues. She has a wide, cat like face and a long, twisting tail that ends in blue spikes. She breathes a greenish-bluish fire and her plantigrade paws have thick, soft, pink pads on the bottoms. A heavy creature with opinions as strong as her wings, she cares about little but her own life and her strong morals. She has loyalty hard wired into her body, and blindly follows Anastas’s orders, something that often lands her in more trouble than not. Older than she’d like to admit, with a growl loud as a lions, she’s a poor hunter but excellent fighter. ((HollyHawk))

JOINING
You'll notice that I've written in several Dragons without descriptions, and that is says "OPEN" next to them. If you like the name and what Rank it is, then, by all means, write up a description and congrats! That's now one of your characters. You are not required to play one of the Dragons above! If need be, they can be NPCs that anyone can take hold of for their role playing needs until they are being played properly. Here's how you join:
[insert character name, whether made up or already from the Ranks]: [insert character description, including your desired rank if you've made it up yourself] (([insert username]))
If anything is nonsensical or makes your character too powerful, I'll ask you to change those bits but there really isn't much else to it!

TERRITORY
Camp
A mud pit formed from the leaking river, then dried as the course slightly changed. Stocky, curly-trunked trees grew in on one tide, shading most of the camp from the sun and keeping the dens moist and cool. The dens themselves are carved into the sides of the pit and/or use boulders that had initially sunken into the camp. The roof is also cobwebbed with sticky vines and passionately colored flowers, dappling the incoming sun light. The River makes for fast fresh water and the Jungle abounds with prey- as well as things that want to make THEM prey. The Mother and Hatchling den is given one of the best spots. Protected mostly by a large boulder with a flat top, it's built into the cave wall and stocked with moss. Upon entering, the initial crevasse is smooth but tight, and then opens up into a tunnel-like shape that emerges again at an abandoned burrow of some sort to let in light, though it can be covered by knocking a branch into place. The flat boulder outside is the Fleet sunning spot, as for most of the day a large gap of light falls directly onto it. The Leader's den is another cave dug into the wall, this one with stone floor and less room. It has no door way like structure, but Lichen hangs down from all over the ceiling and covers the entrance somewhat. A dim, peaceful place with a nest of coiled vines and mud. These are on the Eastern Wall. The Fighter and Hunter Den is on the West wall and created by a boulder that juts out and creates a shadowed overhang. Assisted by the ground receding beneath it, it makes for a tight, sheltered space where everyone is kept warm, but it's not too comfortable and grows unbearable hot in the day time, urging them to wake up and work. The deputy's den is the simplest, just a harsh dip of sand and a roof of flat, jagged stone sunk into the mud. The front and back slowly dip upwards so that they can slide out every day. The Healer resides in the hollowed, rotting trunk of a tree jabbed into the side of the pit. The roots prompted the soil to melt away into a handy cavern, and though they sleep on the soft, pliable bark of the sheltered tree to to be available at all times, their stores of herbs and supplies are neatly organized on flat river stones in the cavern. The Fleet also has the armory. Located next to the Hunter/Fighter den, it's a cave dug into the side of the pit with tree roots dangling down on the ceiling. It's chock full of armor, weapons, gear, and flags, and often they all stop to suit up before embarking on a new attack of a ship.
Training Grounds
Before dropping into the sand, a rim of tea colored rocks create a small cliff. The formation bulges out at one point, but the middle has won a way, creating large, shallow pit scattered with other boulders and a floor of sand. Hatchlings come to train here almost every day, under the supervision and instruction of a warrior or hunter.
Silk Sand Beach
A beach famed for the fragility and softness of it's pure white sand and clean waters empty of all debris, though a coral reef stretches out a bit beyond it, teeming with fish.
Slash River
A clean river that cuts through the jungle with vigorous, fast paced water and vile, bad tempered creatures of every sort. Hatchlings that fall in seldom survive.
Leader's Hoard
Up in the mountains, there lies the leader's hoard. Her jewels, treasures, and winnings which are fabled to be beyond the imagination of any Dragon. Kept secret from all and guarded by a myriad of violent curses.
