Ersius nodded and dipped her head. "Thanks, I'll be sure to help."
Beating her wings, she soared off in the direction of the human entrapment, unknowing of what she'd find.

Brin stalked back into the the den. He soon became lost in thoughts about the human. Page 8 )

(( so I'm thinking that they should be captured for a change of scenery? Ersius could be captured to if ya want! thoughts? ))
Bryce strained against the weights while Alexandrite thrashed to get the flames off her scales, though she seemed largely unbothered. "Quiet!" the man hissed, shaking the poison from his fingers. He unrolled a sheath of parchment and a quill, balancing an ink bottle on Alexandrite's back, muttering to himself. He jammed the letter into her saddle bags. "Go to the Goodrich Mansion and deliver this to Stanford," he said in Dragon speak. The large Dragon rose weightlessly into the air, and you could almost mistake her for a sparrow if her enormous girth didn't blot out the clouds. She sped away. Fire and the man stared angrily at each other, years of hate rekindled.

I like that idea!)
Fire growled. Spewing out more spikes, and lighting the forest around them on fire. She began to try and throw of the net, but it was a worthless attempt.

(sure!)
Ersius swooped towards a smoking forest, and seeing a fire starting to blaze, she gasped in shock and began to spiral down. As soon as she saw the human and the trapped dragons, she ducked into a tree and tried to plan an attack, unknowing if she'd been seen or not.

The man paced in front of the net, pulling off the gloves and inspecting his nails. "Where is that worm?" he growled. Bryce struggled to sit up, but his face an shoulders were pressed and squashed downwards. "Who are you?" The man spun on his heel, uprooting some grass. "Doran Bold, at you service. tell me, what is your fleet?"

Fire starter kept her lips sealed. She eyed Bryce to do the same.

Alexandrite crested the trees. The mansion was not far, and Stanford was fast. When she touched down, Doran riffled through her saddle bags for his new poison without saying hello. Alexandrite sniffed. No emotion passed through her eyes, but she could smell another Dragon, clear as day. Someone was hiding from them. "Aha!" he cried, pulling out the tiny bottles. He marched over to the net and kicked Bryce solidly in the jaw, as it lolled he dumped in the contents of the container onto the Tom's tongue and neatly pocketed the bottle. "And now you," he sneered to Fire as Bryce's eyes rolled and then closed.

Now was the time to attack if any. Ersius swooped from the trees and unleashed a furious firestorm from her jaws, aimed straight at the man.

Doran leapt behind the wings of Alexandrite, and the mammoth dragon reared her head back and breathed flames of her own. As Doran leapt gracefully into the saddle, she took off, hooking the net with her talons. She glanced balefully at Ersius who was trying to keep up, but one wing had been set ablaze. Doran yanked her head straight again, and the Dragon focused on the uneven horizon of Darkspice City, Varnae's capital in the business of all things Dragons.

FIre trashed and tried to move. But her feet fell the opening in the net and she was caught. She suck her tail out of one of the holes and tried to shoot needles at the dragon. She missed but one hit the saddle bag. She lit it on fire and sent more spikes there to keep the fire going. She looked at Bryce, and he was out cold.

"We'll get that out of you," called Doran to the Dragon. "A month at The Stables and you'll be right as rain." Speaking of rain, a small breeze began to kick up, electric with the first scents of a storm. Purple clouds gathered over the city as Alexandrite landed in the yard of a manor on it' outskirts. towering black stone and whimsically graceful towers laced the air. Windows lit with warm yellow light looked like cat eyes through the increasing gloom and darkness. The grass was coarse and chopped short. Doran led alexandrite around the back of it, as all manner of hounds, men, and garden dragons parted (always inevitable in an estate so big). The yard beyond was a perfectly flat expanse, with moonlit trails and a central well and many rows of stables. Large paddocks, empty now, ran down the expanse, and the mutterings of Dragons darkly permeated the air.

Fire recognized a few of them. They only glared at her though. She looked around the field some more, without something to search for. She was going to be trapped here again. And this time, she is going to bring her fleet down too.

Doran lead them into a smaller stable. The doors banged shut behind them. The ceilings were tall, and the Dragons here were large, kept in by treated metal gates. Ten men in dragon skin vests wordlessly disentangled the pair from the net but snapped metal cuffs connected to chains around their ankles, opting to drag Bryce, who was still asleep. The Dragons here dwarfed them, and some even Alexandrite. Some men unsaddled her and wiped her down, messaging her feet and checking her mouth, nose, and ears. By contrast, the Fleet dragons would get no such luxury, and their cuffs were attached to rings on the back wall. Bryce whimpered in his sleep, and Alexandrite, ultimately, was caged next to Fire. Though the interlocking metal gate allowed them to see out into the central path, the stone walls on either side of them prevented communication.

Fire sat in her cage. Overall rage in her system. She waned to burn everything here down, but humans understand dragons too well. She growled. What am I going to do? She thought
